HILDERVAT was born out of the absolute love and obsession of obstacle course racing. As one of the fastest growing sports, OCR is making athletes around the globe feel like victorious warriors. At HIDERVAT, we hope you will find a community of athletes, who love the pure sport of OCR and who value the authentic friendships that are built through competition and camaraderie. Our desire is that as you run our races that you will conquer your fears, crush your goals, strive for new horizons and grow in confidence with a renewed passion for every aspect of your life.
Dan Woods
Founder and Race Director.
Dan discovered his love of OCR 6 years ago and has raced in over 50 OCR races. His love of OCR is the culmination of a lifelong love of competition as a high school wrestler, track and field athlete to a Navy rescue swimmer, road racer and triathlete. Prior to owning a race company, Dan spent 30 years in corporate America in the finance industry. His combination of athletic competition and corporate experience positioned him perfectly to start a world-class race organization. Dan currently resides in Jacksonville Beach, Florida with his wife Renee and 3 boys, Jackson, Nick and CJ along with their 2 dogs Jett and Lulu.
George Carasquillo
George, known as “the mayor” has been in obstacle course racing since the beginning with
over 100 races under his belt with multiple podiums and Top Finisher awards. George’s love for competition started as a high school and college stand out baseball player. Like Dan, George
served our country in the U.S Navy for over 20 years. Following his military career, he served the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office as a corrections officer. Both Dan and George share a passion for coaching, training and developing young athletes for a lifetime of health and fitness.
